Christmas is my favorite holiday. Yes, the beautiful lights and decorations make me smile during the cold and dreary months, but I think it’s the remembrance of something greater than ourselves beginning many years ago that makes this night in particular so special. Today I’m sharing the recipe for a special Christmas Eve tradition in our family — making frozen hot chocolate.
Here are a few of my favorite accessories to make making frozen hot chocolate special (and let’s face it, you definitely can use these the rest of the year too!):
- 4-piece Bolero mug set
- 4-piece extra tall Darware mason jar mug set
- 100-pack of Christmas-themed biodegradable paper straws
- Ghirardelli Chocolate and Caramel sauce
- By the Cup marshmallow bits

I love keeping Christmas Eve simple. We go to church, light candles and sing Silent Night. After dinner, we make frozen hot chocolate and talk about the incredible ways God has changed our lives over the past year.
This night, the most Holy of the year, marks the beginning of the greatest love story ever revealed… One that a perfectly selfless God would send His completely pure, righteous, and glorious Son to die for an undeserving world of people. He loves you. For you. Exactly where you are, you are loved by the Creator who wants nothing more than a relationship with you where He can reveal more of Himself and His love for you. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, which means ‘God is with us”’ -Matthew 1:23
I hope that this Serendipity-inspired frozen hot chocolate becomes a Christmas tradition for you and your family. May God bless you and your family this year and for many to come.
With Love,
Jenn & Joseph
